American Dream Rambouillet: Coffee Duo
This duo was dyed for the Midori pattern by Duke Akiba, featured in Issue 8: Washington of Nomadic Knits. When I was asked for a combination of brown colorways, I immediately thought of my coffee-inspired colorways, Latte (the lighter semi-solid of creamy pale browns) and Strong as Death, Sweet as Love (a deep rich semi-solid named for a Turkish proverb that coffee should be black as hell, strong as death, and sweet as love).
American Dream Rambouillet is a soft and squishy 5-ply yarn spun from 100% Rambouillet merino. This is a superwash, true worsted yarn, with a recommended needle size of US 7-8. Each of the skeins in this set is 2 oz and measures approximately 200 yards. Machine or hand wash cold, lay flat to dry.
This yarn is part of my American Dream collection: yarns that are grown, milled, and dyed entirely in the United States. I'm thrilled to be supporting our domestic textile industry and reducing my carbon footprint by offering this yarn.
