American Dream Worsted: Stonewashed (1.75 oz)
Stonewashed is a soft medium blue semi-solid, like your favorite old jeans. It's hand-dyed on American Dream Worsted, a springy 3-ply yarn produced from 100% Targhee that's grown, processed, and spun entirely in the U.S. When you choose this yarn, you'll get a beautifully light, soft, and cozy yarn--and you'll support the domestic textile industry and reducing your carbon footprint.
Targhee is a truly American breed of sheep, with its origins in Idaho and Montana in the 1920s as breeders began crossing Rambouillet rams with Rambouillet/Lincoln/Corriedale ewes, seeking to create sheep that would have both fine wool and higher lamb production. The first Targhee sheep were registered in 1952.
Stonewashed is presented on half-skeins, perfect for colorwork or a small project like a pair of fingerless mitts. Each half-skein is 1.75 oz (50 g) and measures approximately 122 yards. Suggested needle size: US 6-7. Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
