Polwarth/silk spinning fiber: Cherries Jubilee variation
This variation of Cherries Jubilee is a hand-painted gradient, moving from chocolate brown through deep burgundy, cherry red, soft beige, and through cream and gold.
It's dyed on 4 oz of Polwarth/silk, a blend of 85% Polwarth wool and 15% tussah silk. The Polwarth combines the softness of its Merino ancestors with a longer staple length contributed by its Lincoln heritage. It blooms beautifully after washing. The silk gives this blend a glimmer and drape that brightens the matte appearance of the Polwarth.
Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
