Targhee/bamboo/silk combed top: Mandarin Duck, 4 oz
$ 23.00
Last winter, I was enchanted by the photos of the mandarin duck in New York City's Central Park. So of course I had to turn it into a colorway!
Mandarin Duck is a combination of creamy gold, orange, teal greens, soft browns, and rich blues and purples. It's dyed on 80% Targhee, 10% bamboo rayon, and 10% silk combed top. Targhee is a sheep breed developed in Idaho in the mid 20th century, beloved by spinners for its softness (23-23.5 microns), medium staple length, and bounce. Bamboo rayon, which remains undyed, and silk add luster and drape to this blend.
Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
