Blue-Faced Leicester/silk combed top: Lady Mary

Named for the eldest daughter of the Grantham family in the TV series "Downton Abbey," the Lady Mary colorway is a combination of rich purples, deep raspberry, slate grey, and wintry greens and blues.

It's handpainted on a 75/25 blend of Blue-Faced Leicester wool and tussah silk. One of my most popular spinning fibers, this wonderful combed top combines the soft durability of Blue-Faced Leicester (BFL) with the luster and drape of silk. Each braid weighs approximately 4 oz. Hand wash in cool water, lay flat to dry.
