Willow Sock: Copper Canyon
Copper Canyon is a swirl of turquoise, sage, sky blue, navy, and deep mallard green, punctuated by burnt orange. It's dyed with my watercolor technique, a hybrid of handpainting and low-water immersion. This produces paler, more random color transitions while retaining the depth of color produced by handpainting.
It's dyed on Willow superwash sock yarn, a blend of 80% Blue-Faced Leicester and 20% nylon. This yarn is soft and fluffy, with that lovely BFL luster and resistance to pilling, and extra durability thanks to the nylon content. It's perfect for shawls, scarves, cowls, sweaters, and gloves, as well as socks.
Each skein is 4 oz and 420 yards. Suggested needle size: U.S. 0-2. While this yarn can be machine washed and dried, hand washing in cold water is recommended to extend the life of your handmade items.
